There is no separate factory reset button on the Google Home. Instead, it accomplishes this using the Microphone Mute button on the device's rear. Similar to the Home Mini, press and hold the button for 12 to 15 seconds. After hearing the Assistant affirm that the device is being reset, you can let go of the button.

A Google Home Mini's factory reset procedure
Holding down the factory data reset (FDR) button will typically allow you to reset the device and return it to its brand-new state. The device's settings and any personal data are completely deleted during a factory data reset.

When you follow these steps, a Google Home factory reset can be completed in under a minute:

A dedicated FDR button is located on the bottom of the Google Home Mini. You may find it right next to the power plug; simply look for a plain circle there.

Reset the Google Home Mini by holding down the button for 12 to 15 seconds.

The Assistant will confirm that it is reseting the device.

Turn the button off. Your gadget has now been reset.

How to Reset a Google Home Max
