A fortunate Switch owner recently shared a video on social media showcasing a remarkable survival in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In the game, diving into a shallow puddle might seem like a fatal mistake, but this player's luck turned the situation around.

Although the Sky Islands in Tears of the Kingdom were not as extensive as some fans hoped, the game remains centered around skydiving rather than climbing. Players quickly learn that Link can survive any fall as long as he lands in water deep enough to swim.

In a Reddit post, user miaio unintentionally dove into what appeared to be a pond, only to discover it was a small puddle. Miraculously, Link landed on an unsuspecting deer, which triggered the game's mounting animation, saving him from fall damage. This feature, derived from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, applies to other mountable animals as well.

Although this lucky player discovered the technique independently, others in the community had already utilized it to avoid fall damage before obtaining the glider. Another player devised a trick using a horse instead of a deer.

The possibility of landing in shallow water shouldn't deter skydiving in Tears of the Kingdom, as such occurrences are rare. Additionally, players carrying at least one Fairy in their inventory can be revived upon suffering lethal damage.

For skydiving enthusiasts, acquiring the Tears of the Kingdom Glide Armor set is recommended. While it doesn't slow down falling, each piece significantly improves Link's maneuverability in the air, enhancing the overall skydiving experience.
