World of Warcraft players have voiced their frustration with the graphical issues of the Blood Troll transmog reward offered by the Trading Post. The excitement surrounding this cosmetic set has been marred by its problematic appearance on actual Troll characters, leading to disappointment among many World of Warcraft fans.
The Trading Post in WoW features a monthly free reward for players who complete their Traveler's Log tasks and earn the full Trader’s Tender allowance. The August reward, the Bones of the Bloodhunter transmog ensemble, draws inspiration from the Blood Trolls of Battle for Azeroth and aims to replicate their eerie appearance.
However, players noticed a graphical problem when Troll characters wear the foot accessories of the set. The bloody paint that is supposed to cover their feet does not show up as intended, abruptly ending at the ankle and omitting the accompanying wrappings. This issue does not affect races with more humanoid feet, like Humans and Elves, who have the textures applied correctly. As a result, the iconic look of the Blood Trolls is not fully replicated for regular Trolls and the Zandalari Allied Race in World of Warcraft.
The reason for this graphical glitch is quite straightforward. Playable WoW races with non-humanoid feet, such as Trolls, Tauren, and Draenei, do not render most foot armor outside a few exceptions. Blood Troll NPCs use unique models that display the bloody paint on their feet, but the player models lack the coding to do so.

Furthermore, the Bones of the Bloodhunter set has another graphical bug related to the belt model, affecting all races except Humans. The belt is incorrectly tied to the leg portion of the set for non-Human players, making it challenging to use just the belt or mix and match the transmog ensemble without it looking incomplete or glitched.
The community's disappointment is understandable, especially considering the set's apparent focus on Trolls. However, players have still managed to create impressive outfits for both Troll and non-Troll characters using these cosmetics. The hope is that World of Warcraft will address these glitches promptly, allowing Trolls to fully enjoy every aspect of this new ensemble.
